Wedding Photography at Laura Ashley Hotel The Iliffe in Coventry
The weather can disrupt a wedding day and plans may need to be adjusted to accommodate it. Constant downpours on the day in August were put aside as nothing was going to have any adverse effect on the joy of Keisha and Julian getting married.
This wedding had everything; intense emotion and lots of tears, an abundance of love and brotherly support combined with the naughtiest and funniest best man speech we’ve heard so far this year!
This was a full day wedding at Laura Ashley Hotels, The Iliffe (formerly The Chace) in Coventry.
Keisha and her six bridesmaids, pageboys and flowergirls were all getting ready when I arrived for bridal preparation. Julian and the six groomsmen were met by Ian at home for groom preparation which I understand was a lot of fun too.
The wedding was all about family, with brothers and sisters and our couples son and daughter all involved. Keisha’s brother escorted her to the service. She looked so pretty in her dress from Wed2B that Julian who was already emotional from the flower girls arrival was only just holding it together when he saw her. Julian’s sister Teri and Keisha’s sister Kristie gave readings. Kristie’s reading shared the wisdom of Eminem, the reactions were priceless!
Family photos were all indoors and everyone was great working with us. The speeches followed then became extended with additional smaller family members expressing their delight for our couple too!
The most amazing cake was created by The Cats Meow. To reflect Julian’s love of anime and Studio Ghibli featuring Totoro, Jiji, No Face Kaonashi Spirit and Kodama. This had me getting out my dvd’s of Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke and Kiki’s Delivery Service when I had time to relax a couple of days later.
The rain continued and no one noticed, as the party afterwards had the dance floor packed the minute the first dance was finished.
Keisha and Julian it was lovely for us to be part of your celebration.
Family, friends, love and emotion - what a wedding day!
